CONSUMER PRIVACY STATEMENT
Notice of Your Financial Privacy Rights

We, our, and us, when used in this notice, mean Two Rivers Bank & Trust.  This is our privacy notice for our customers.  When we use the words “you” and “your” we mean the following types of customers:
•    Our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship by purchasing or holding financial products or services such as a(n):
•    Deposit account
•    Loan account
•    Safe deposit box
We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about you.  We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.  We first define some terms.  Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you.  Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.  Hereafter, we will use the term “information” to mean nonpublic personal information as defined in this section.  An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us.  Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.  A nonaffiliated third party is a person we do not employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours.  This is also known as nonaffiliated third party, or simply, an “other party.”

What Information We Collect

We may collect non-public personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information you give us on applications or other forms
  • Information about your transactions with us
  • Information about your transactions with our affiliates
  • Information about your transactions with other parties
  • Information from a consumer reporting agency
  • Information we receive as a result of verifying customer information


Information we disclose about you

We do NOT disclose any information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law.  Examples of this might include disclosures necessary to service your account or prevent unauthorized transactions.

The Confidentiality, Security and Integrity of Your Information

We restrict access to information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect this information.

Information about former customers

We do not disclose information about former customers, except as permitted by law.

Security Procedures to Protect Information

We safeguard information according to established security standards and procedures to help prevent unauthorized access to confidential information about you. Our technology is periodically updated and tested to continue to provide you with the highest level of protection of your privacy and to assure the integrity of your information.

Online banking transactions transmitted between you and our online banking vendor use a 128-bit secure server by VeriSign encrypted with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and a router loaded with a firewall to regulate the inflow and outflow of server traffic. Using this high level of technology, your online banking transactions are secure.

Maintenance of Accurate Information

We have implemented procedures to help assure that our customer's financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with commercially reasonable standards. While some procedures are required by Federal or State law, we also have procedures for responding to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner, and update information promptly. Customers should notify us immediately by calling 515-331-3304 if they receive what they believe to be inaccurate information regarding their TRBT account.

"Cookie" Technology

Many commercial web sites us a technology called "cookies" to provide you with tailored information from their web site.  The bank's web site does not us "cookie" technology to identify individual users unless illegal behavior is suspected.  We will be using cookies on our website to identify which location for Two Rivers Bank was used by the customer the first time they visited http://www.tworiversbank.com/ so that they can return to their local location directly the next time without going through the splash page.

Our online banking providers also us cookies to capture a footprint of the user's computer for multi-factor authentication purposes so the user does not have to register their PC each time they visit a particular site.  This allows the PC to be registered with a single identifier that uses secure cookies and Macromedia Flash shared objects.  Each time a user logs in, the fingerprint is checked to see if it has been registered with the user code that has logged in.  This prevents anyone from logging into a customer's account from a different computer even if they possess the customer's username and password.

Our Internet Web Site

Visitors to the TRBT's web site remain anonymous. We do not collect personal identifying information about site users, unless you choose to submit such information on our feedback form. Standard software is used to collect and store ONLY the following non-identifying information about our visitors:

  • the name and the Internet service provider from which you accessed the Internet,
  • the date and time you accessed our site, and
  • the Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site.

Visitors may elect to provide us with personal information via e-mail or our feedback form. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the sender's request and manage the TRBT web site. It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations. Visitors should, however, keep in mind that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If you do not agree with the use of this information, or are not comfortable with this level of privacy, please use the clear button on the feedback form or cancel the e-mail before it is sent. Visitors should call us directly at 515-331-3304 if requests include sensitive or private information, such as your account number, credit card numbers, or PIN number for your TRBT ATM card or other bank cards. TRBT is committed to protecting your privacy.

Our intent throughout our online presence is to collect only the information we need to deliver excellent service, use that information responsibly and keep you fully informed of how that information is being used.

Online Applications

At this time, TRBT does not accept any online applications. If this changes in the future, you will need to review our Privacy Statement.

Protecting Children

TRBT does not knowingly solicit data from children, and we do not knowingly conduct online marketing to children. We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy is important and the responsibility to do rests with both the online industry and with parents.
